485th Tactical Missile Wing
Alumni Association
To keep alive the memory of the 485th Tactical Missile Wing, whose members' selfless dedication to duty contributed to the demise of the former Soviet Union and end the Cold War.
A non-profit organization under sections 501(a) and 501(c)19, the Association was formed in August 1993.
A Ground Launched Cruise Missile (GLCM) wing activated in 1984 and deactivated in 1989, it was located on Base J. Offenberg, near Florennes, Belgium.
Membership in the Association is open to:
(1) Alumni Membership - Any member or former member of the United States Air Force, or any other military organization, assigned to the 485th Tactical Missile Wing, Florennes Air Base, Belgium.
(2) Alumni Membership - Any person assigned to any tenant unit, organization, detachment, contractor, or civilian firm located at Florennes Air Base for the purpose of supporting the 485th Tactical Missile Wing mission.
(3) Honorary Membership - Any spouse of persons eligible in paragraphs (1) or (2) above.
(4) Associate Membership - Any individual interested in furthering the cause of the Association.
